Why This Base Works
The main idea of this BH6 base is to protect the Builder Hall with several defenses that can attack air troops. Air Bombs, Roaster, and Archer Towers cover the area around the Builder Hall, creating a high-damage zone in the core.
Before Baby Dragons can reach this area, they must clear the outside buildings first. This wastes time while defenses continue firing. By the time the Baby Dragons move deeper into the base, they have already lost some HP and still need to fight through the main air defenses.
Beta Minions have a similar problem. Their long-range Power Shot is often wasted on outside buildings. Once the Power Shot is gone, the Minions move closer to the core where Mega Mines, Air Bombs, Roaster, and Archer Towers can hit them.
The hidden Tesla adds another layer. It can pull a Baby Dragon away from directly targeting the Air Bombs or Roaster. The Dragon must stop and destroy the Tesla first, giving the surrounding defenses more time to attack.
Two Mega Mines are placed near important air-defense zones. One sits between an Archer Tower and Air Bombs, while another covers the area between an Archer Tower and Roaster. Baby Dragons often enter through these areas, making the mines more likely to get value.
In testing against the same BH6 level, attackers often failed to leave troops for Stage 2. However, this is not an unbeatable air base. One BH6 Mass Baby Dragon attack successfully broke through by slowly deploying only one or two Dragons at a time to remove the Air Bombs and Roaster. This is an important weakness to watch for.
Against higher Builder Halls, results vary. A BH7 Night Witch attack only reached 2 stars, with the Multi Mortar attacking the Night Witches while Archer Towers cleared the Bats. Higher-level BH8 armies were more difficult to stop, especially Night Witch, Cannon Cart, and Archer combinations.
Trap Placement
- Mine: Placed in the core to damage Beta Minions and Bats.
- Mega Mines: Cover common air entry paths near Archer Towers, Air Bombs, and Roaster.
- Spring Trap: Provides extra protection against ground troops in Stage 2.
- Push Trap: Pushes ground troops away and forces them to change their path.
The base can also handle some ground attacks. Double Cannons provide strong damage against high-HP troops such as Giants. If you face ground armies more often, switching the Mega Mine to ground mode can improve the matchup.
What Attacks Does This Base Counter?
Baby Dragon
Outside buildings slow Baby Dragons before they reach the core. Even when attackers enter from another side to avoid a Mega Mine, they eventually have to deal with Air Bombs and Roaster near the Builder Hall.
Beta Minion
Outside buildings can consume the Beta Minion's Power Shot. After moving into normal attack range, the Minions enter an area covered by Mega Mines and multiple air-targeting defenses.
Who Should Use This Base?
This layout is mainly for BH6 players who frequently face air armies and want to make the second star difficult to earn. Against a poorly planned air attack, there is a good chance of holding the attacker to only 1 star.
FAQ
Can this BH6 Anti-Air base defend against ground strategies?
Yes. The layout also has defenses for ground troops, including Double Cannons, Crusher, traps, and Multi Mortar. If you are facing more ground attacks, switch the Mega Mines to ground mode for additional protection.
