At Town Hall 4, there are 3 types of bases:
- Farming Base - Designed to protect your valuable resources; gold and elixir storages should be placed inside the base.
- War Base - Designed for use in Clan War to defend against 2-star attacks.
- CWL Base - Designed for Clan War League to defend against 3-star attacks in a single hit.

- Anti-2 is designed to make it harder for attackers to get two stars. Most commonly used in Clan War and Clan War League.
- Anti-3 is designed to make it harder for attackers to get three stars. Most commonly used in Clan War League.
What is the Best TH4 Clash of Clans Base?
- For Farming, TH4 Anti-2 Farming Base #2 is the best. All storages are placed inside the walls with a 2-tile gap, making them unreachable by Archers and Wizards. For ground strategies, the Mortar and Archer Tower combo deals high damage. Air strategies are also difficult because the Air Defense is placed at the center with defenses surrounding it.
- For War, TH4 Anti-2 War Base #3 is my recommendation. The Town Hall is unreachable, and a Giant bait channel on the left makes it hard for Balloons to clean up.
- For CWL, TH4 Anti-3 CWL Base #3 is the most difficult from my testing. Three compact sections create powerful damage against all troop types.
What is the Best Clan Castle Troops for TH4?
From my testing, 1 Baby Dragon, 1 Wizard, and 1 Archer is the best and most annoying combination for attackers. The Baby Dragon deals high damage while the remaining troops handle the ground. I highly recommend always keeping your Clan Castle filled for the best defense.
