Why This Base Works

The Town Hall sits in the core with Multi Inferno Towers, the Hero Hunter and the Revenge Tower. An Invisibility Spell Tower covers every building in that core. When the spell pops, attacking troops lose their targets and the push stalls. The Rage Spell Tower then boosts the damage of every defense around it.

The Hero Hunter is the piece that matters most. When enemy Heroes walk into the core, it deals double damage to them.

The wall layers sit 4 tiles apart. The Archer Queen can't reach a building from outside the wall.

The defenses are spread out, so you get cover against both ground and air armies.

Trap Placement

  • Tornado Trap: 4 o'clock compartment. It baits the Battle Blimp and slows enemy troops down.
  • Air Bomb: 9 o'clock compartment. It kills groups of Healers.
  • Seeking Air Mine: Next to key defenses. It takes a chunk of health off air troops and air Heroes.

What Attacks Does This Base Counter?

  • Thrower: Most compartments keep the key defense 5 tiles inside. Throwers can't reach it from outside the wall.
  • Super Bowler: The Logger, the Multi Inferno Towers, the Hero Hunter and the Revenge Tower all hit a group of Super Bowlers hard. Few armies get through that zone.
  • Warden Fireball: The outside defenses are not worth a Fireball, and the core takes real skill to open. An attacker can still fire it into the core. The group of Air Bombs baits the Healers out first.
  • Dragon Spam: The Air Defenses sit deep in the base, with Seeking Air Mines in good spots. Dragon Spam loses a lot of its power.
  • Mass Super Yeti and Revive Spell: The Monolith is the defense that wins this matchup.

What Players Are Asking

Can I use this base in Clan War League (CWL)?

Yes. This base works well in Clan War League too. You only get one attack in CWL, so a base that holds up against most strategies is a good pick.

Can I use this base in Ranked Battles mode?

Yes, same as Clan War League. Attackers get one attack and short prep time. One mistake from them and you keep the trophies you need to rank up.

How was this base tested?

I tested this base against common strategies without Battle Modifiers, and it held up well. The only tweak was moving a few traps to catch the usual entry points.

To be honest, I did 3 star it a couple of times myself. Most of those came from a Warden Fireball into the core. For Legend League players, this base performs very well with Battle Modifiers on. Give it a try.

FAQ

Can this TH18 anti-2 war base hold attackers to 1 star?

Yes. The Invisibility Spell Tower makes the core hard to read, and the Rage Spell Tower makes it dangerous to walk into. The Logger is strong in this layout too.

What is the hardest attack for this base to stop?

The Warden Fireball. From my testing, if an attacker lands the Fireball in the core, this base is hard to defend.
