TH4 Anti-2 War Base #2
An asymmetric war base with the Town Hall buried in the core and a baited open channel at the entry side. Attackers who take the bait feed their Giants straight into Spring Traps and the hidden Mortar.

Why This Base Works
This is a three-compartment design with the Town Hall sitting in the core. The open channel in front of the Town Hall looks like a free path in, but it is bait. Troops that walk it get funneled into traps and pulled deep into the base instead of reaching the Town Hall.
The Cannon and Archer Towers on both sides fire into the core, so anything inside the channel takes damage from multiple angles at once. The Mortar sits behind the Town Hall where outside troops cannot reach it, and it rains splash damage on Giants, Barbarians, and Archers the whole attack.
Trap Placement
- Spring Traps: Inside the entry channel, in front of the Town Hall. They eject Giants and Barbarians before they reach the Air Defense and Town Hall.
- Bombs: At the left and right entries. They kill Wall Breakers before they can open the second layer of walls.
What Attacks Does This Base Counter?
- Giant Balloon: Spring Traps eject the Giants before they reach the Air Defense, so the Air Defense stays alive to shoot down the Balloons.
- GiBarch: The Mortar behind the Town Hall grinds down Giants, Barbarians, and Archers with splash damage while the Cannons and Archer Towers on both sides pick them off.

FAQ
Why is there an open channel in front of the Town Hall?
It is bait. The channel invites attackers to push straight at the Town Hall, but troops that enter it hit Spring Traps and get shredded by the Mortar and both Archer Towers. Attacking from the obvious side is the worst way into this base.
How does this base stop Giant attacks?
Spring Traps in the entry channel eject the Giants before they reach the Air Defense and Town Hall. The survivors get pulled toward the Mortar behind the Town Hall, which they cannot reach from outside, while the Cannons and Archer Towers finish them off.
Does this base still work without Clan Castle troops?
No, always fill it. This base is built for Clan Wars and CWL, and the Clan Castle troops are part of the defense. The Baby Dragon and Wizard combo punishes swarms in the channel, so an empty Clan Castle gives up a big part of what makes this layout hold.
