Why This Base Works

The Town Hall sits near the edge with the Hot Candle and all Heroes stacked around it. This entry is heavily trapped, so most attack strategies struggle to break through cleanly.

The Eagle Artillery sits deep in the core, so it stays active longer and keeps damaging backend troops.

Defenses at the 4:30 and 10:30 positions sit outside the main base to pull and distract LavaLoon.

Key defenses are also spaced about four tiles apart, making it harder for the Archer Queen to reach multiple important targets during a Queen Charge.

Trap Placement

  • Tornado Trap: In front of the Town Hall to pull troops away from the main push.
  • Spring Traps: Around the Town Hall section to punish Smash attacks.
  • Skeleton Traps: At the Town Hall entry to interrupt both ground and air troops.
  • Bombs and Giant Bombs: In the side compartments, paired with the Bomb Tower to deal heavy damage to ground troops.
  • Air Bombs: Behind the Town Hall to damage Healers after the Queen Charge enters.
  • Seeking Air Mines: At the bottom entry to catch Dragons and Battle Blimps.

What Attacks Does This Base Counter?

  • Super Witch Fireball: The wide layout spreads key defenses apart, giving Fireball less value. Closed wall compartments also slow Super Witches down, forcing them to spend more time breaking through each section and increasing the chance of a time fail.
  • Zap Dragons: The Air Defenses are placed to give Lightning Spells less value. Buildings around the Queen entry make the Giant Arrow harder to line up, while the Air Sweepers make a Town Hall-side entry more difficult.
  • Queen Charge Hybrid: The Hot Candle, Barbarian King, Archer Queen and Minion Prince around the Town Hall make the Queen Charge difficult. The Air Bombs behind the Town Hall can damage the Healers, while the Eagle Artillery stays protected in the core and keeps firing at the Hybrid.

FAQ

Why is the Town Hall side hard to attack in this TH12 CWL base?

The Town Hall is protected by the Hot Candle, all Heroes and several traps, so attackers need to spend a lot of power just to clear this section.

Why is the Eagle Artillery in the core of this TH12 CWL base?

It stays deep in the base, survives longer and keeps dealing heavy damage during the second half of the attack.

What weakness does this TH12 CWL base create for attackers?

It pushes attackers to commit too many troops and spells early. That leaves less power for the backend.
